Fees

  • 20-minute pre-consultation is offered at no cost to discuss the reason for referral, and determine whether Self-EDvocate services are the right fit.

  • The cost of a comprehensive psycho-educational assessment is a flat fee of $3300.

This fee is based on time taken to review records, conduct interviews, work with our client, score tests, interpret results, and write and present the report.

Parents/clients are welcome to invite the teacher(s) to the final meeting to review the results and follow-up recommendations with us. A virtual meeting link will be provided for our clients or their parents to share with the school.

For further information, please see the Services page.

  • As part of our service, we offer one follow-up session 4 weeks after receiving the assessment report, where we may discuss ways for our clients and their parents to self-advocate for their learning needs. We offer up to 45min of consultation for this session. For more details, see our Services page.

Medical Coverage

  • If you have extended benefits from your employer or business (e.g., Pacific Blue Cross), you may be covered for some of the assessment costs. Please contact your insurer about your coverage.

We require direct payment from you, and then you would request reimbursement from the insurance company.

  • Psychological services provided by a Registered Psychologist qualify as a medical expense. You may, therefore, be eligible to claim a tax deduction. For further information, please visit the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) website.
